| Building on 13 years of experience in Vietnam to offer high quality services and further expand business |
 |
The
International Division, in cooperation with our Vietnamese subsidiary
Aureole Mitani Chemical & Environment Inc. (AMCE), promotes sales
of chemical products, such as sulfuric acid, caustic soda, and hydrochloric
acid, mainly to Japanese companies operating in Vietnam. Taking advantage
of the business base, storage facilities and distribution system,
that we have built up in the 13 years since our launch in Vietnam,
we will work hard to increase transactions with existing clients by
providing proposals most suitable for each, ensuring stable supplies,
and offering very adaptable, fine-tuned services. At the same time,
we will work to win new clients and develop new business areas. Furthermore,
we will actively distribute information on our activities in Vietnam
and strive to spread knowledge about the country, such as on legal
changes, and security and social information. By taking these actions
we will establish a stronger presence in the country and gain clients'
trust as we move to the next stage of business development. The Mitani
Sangyo Group's operations in Vietnam have been highly rated by the
nation's government. The Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Planning and
Investment, when he visited Japan to attend a Vietnamese seminar held
in Kanazawa in January 2007, called at our Kanazawa Headquarters and
shared his high opinion of the Group. |

| Discovering
new Vietnamese resources and commercialization efforts |
 |
The International Division imports from Vietnam functional food materials processed from marine products of the country, and offers these to Japanese clients. The division also processes Japanese cypress, Laos pine and tropical wood into such products as flooring and outdoor furniture in Vietnam, and imports the finished products for sales in Japan. These products have been commercialized as a result of the division's efforts to improve the technical level at partner companies in Vietnam and to ensure thorough management to fulfill Japanese clients' stringent requirements.
We will continue to work hard to expand the business of importing from Vietnam by discovering new Vietnam-made goods that can be brought to the Japanese market and finding new Vietnamese partner companies, while improving the technical level of these partners to satisfy Japanese clients' requirements.
