	In the Chemical Division, the sales section and the contact center cooperate in offering fine-tuned services to each client for basic chemical products, including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and caustic soda. While maintaining this system, we will further strengthen alliances with suppliers and increase the use of our storage facilities in Niigata, Nagoya and Chiba, as well as ISO standard containers. These are the advantages we can leverage to stabilize product quality and build a steady supply system. We will continue our efforts to responsibly deliver products that meet client needs.
Joint product development with clients through consignment-based production- production of functional foods, functional resins and catalysts
	Apart from the sale of basic chemical products, the Chemical Division also carries out "coordinated manufacturing," in which the division shares tasks with the client and they work together to address issues and solve problems. More specifically, regarding tasks for which the client does not have room in its facilities to develop and produce new products, or faces manpower shortages or manufacturing cost overruns, the division solves these problems through production consigned from the client in cooperation with closely connected partner companies. Amid the growing trend of people being increasingly concerned with their health, the Chemical Division is energetically manufacturing on a consignment basis food-related products such as functional food materials. Other consignment work includes resins and catalysts -- resins because they contribute to the enhancement of development and production efficiency at the manufacturer's facilities, and catalysts because supplies cannot catch up with fast-growing demand as environmental protection efforts increase.
	Further, our subsidiary Sagami Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. manufactures medicinal substances and intermediates under contract from clients. The Chemical Division continues to meet client needs by making full use of the group's specialties and its ability to make procurements in collaboration with leading-edge partner companies.
